Snakebite — two-time PDC World Champion and the most visually distinctive player in darts history. Peter Wright's extraordinary multicoloured mohawks, face tattoos and outrageous stage costumes — each one designed with his wife Joanne — have made him as famous for his appearance as for his considerable ability with a dart in hand.
Peter Wright was born in Forfar, Scotland in 1970. He spent years on the periphery of the professional game before his talent attracted serious attention in the mid-2010s, when he reached the PDC World Championship final in both 2014 and 2015 without winning. His breakthrough title came at the 2020 PDC World Championship, where he defeated Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in a commanding final performance. He won the championship again in 2022, defeating Gerwyn Price. He has also won the Grand Slam of Darts twice and multiple European Championships. His elaborate costumes — changed for every tournament and sometimes for every session — have become one of darts' most beloved traditions, and his wife Joanne is widely credited for their creation. He was PDC Player of the Year in 2020. At his best, his smooth throwing action and ability to hit crucial doubles under pressure rank him among the finest finishers in the game's history.

Wright reportedly designs a completely new look — hair colour, costume and face paint — for each tournament he plays. His wife Joanne creates most of the outfits.
