Neel Jani — Le Mans 24 Hours winner with Porsche in 2016 and one of the most versatile endurance racing specialists of the modern era. The Swiss driver competed across Formula 1 feeder series before finding his true calling in long-distance racing, where his precise, mechanical-preserving style and ability to deliver consistent lap times during the night hours made him invaluable. His 2016 Le Mans victory came as part of Porsche's triumphant return to LMP1 racing after a 16-year absence.
Neel Jani was born in Baar, Switzerland in 1983 to an Indian father and Swiss mother. He won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016 with Porsche alongside Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb. He won the FIA World Endurance Championship. His combination of simulator expertise — he was Porsche's primary simulator driver — with exceptional race pace made him the most technically versatile endurance driver of his generation. He holds the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb record in an electric car (2016). He later competed in Formula E.
