The Peugeot lion — two WRC titles and the most composed Finnish driver of his era.
Marcus Grönholm was born in Inkoo, Finland in 1968. He won two World Rally Championship titles with Peugeot in 2000 and 2002. He won 30 WRC rallies — the third-most in history. His style was technically precise — exceptional in wet and snow conditions, particularly on Finnish and Swedish stages. He retired in 2007. He later returned for selected WRC events. He co-drove with his son Niclas in junior categories. He is considered the finest Finnish rally driver since Henri Toivonen and before Jari-Matti Latvala.
