Arturo Erasmo Vidal Pardo was born in San Joaquín, Santiago on 22 May 1987. One of the most relentless and combative midfielders of the modern era, Vidal built a career defined by trophies and intensity. He came through Colo-Colo's academy before joining Bayer Leverkusen in 2007. In 2011 he moved to Juventus, winning four consecutive Serie A titles. A £25m move to Bayern Munich in 2015 added three Bundesliga titles. He later played for Barcelona, Internazionale and Flamengo. Internationally, Vidal was the engine of Chile's golden generation, winning back-to-back Copa América titles in 2015 and 2016 and earning over 130 caps. His intensity, late runs into the box and leadership made him an indispensable figure at every club he played for.
