Stefanos Tsitsipas was born on 12 August 1998 in Athens, Greece, into a tennis family — his father Apostolos coaches him and his mother was a professional player. He turned professional in 2016 and rapidly rose to become one of the world's best, winning the 2019 ATP Finals in spectacular fashion. He has reached multiple Grand Slam finals, including Roland Garros in 2021 (losing to Djokovic from two sets up), Australian Open 2023, and Roland Garros 2023. Tsitsipas is known for his powerful serve, aggressive forehand, and his extended bathroom breaks during matches. He has reached a career-high ranking of No. 3.
