Scott Waites

The Wizard — two-time BDO World Champion in 2007 and 2009, whose non-consecutive titles demonstrated a sustained level of excellence across three years at the top of the BDO circuit.

Scott Waites was born in Wakefield, Yorkshire on 7 April 1972. He won the BDO World Championship in 2007 and again in 2009, with Martin Adams winning the title in between — making Waites and Adams the two dominant players of the BDO's late era. His clean throwing action and reliable match-play temperament produced two titles that confirmed his place among the BDO's most successful performers.
