Three Olympic medals across three disciplines — the most versatile Australian rower.
Drew Ginn was born in Melbourne, Victoria in 1974. He won two Olympic gold medals — in the coxless four at Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 — and bronze at Beijing 2008. He suffered serious back injuries that required surgery between his championship seasons. He won multiple World Championship titles. He is the most decorated Australian male rower in Olympic history. He continued competing into his 30s — his durability across multiple Olympic cycles is exceptional.
