The ski jumper who became cycling's most dominant Grand Tour racer.
Primož Roglič was born in Trbovlje, Slovenia in 1989. He was a professional ski jumper — competing at World Cup level — before transitioning to cycling at 22. He won four Vuelta a España titles — the most in the modern era — and the Giro d'Italia in 2023. He won Olympic gold in the time trial at Tokyo 2020. His most famous loss — crashing on the final time trial of the 2020 Tour de France while in yellow — generated the most discussed individual form reversal in recent cycling history. He recovered to win three more Grand Tours. His resilience and his unusual background have made him one of cycling's most compelling individual stories.
