Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Júnior was born in Americana, Brazil on 9 September 1991. He joined Chelsea from Internacional in 2012 for £25 million and became a key creative force. Technically gifted with excellent work rate for a number 10, he made 203 appearances and scored 38 goals for Chelsea, winning the Premier League in 2015 and the League Cup in 2015. He earned 48 caps for Brazil and scored at the 2014 World Cup on home soil. In 2017, he made a shock move to Shanghai SIPG for £60 million, one of the most lucrative transfers in football history. He returned to São Paulo in 2024.
