Tenacious Canadian defensive wing whose physicality, shot-blocking and competitive fire have made him a fan favourite at Oklahoma City.
Luguentz Dort was born in Montreal, Quebec on 19 April 1999. A stocky, powerful and fiercely competitive wing, Dort is one of the NBA's most physically imposing defenders despite being only 6ft 4in. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2019 after one season at Arizona State, and has proven to be one of the better undrafted finds in recent years. His ability to guard multiple positions, his physicality and his surprisingly reliable three-point shooting make him a useful piece of Oklahoma City's young roster. He was part of the Thunder during their rebuild and has remained with the team through their rise to Western Conference contenders. His Canadian background also makes him part of an increasingly strong national basketball tradition.
