McLaren's charismatic star — Twitch streamer, first F1 win at Miami and the sport's most digitally native driver.
Lando Norris was born in Bristol, England in 1999 to a wealthy family — his father Adam Norris made his fortune through a pension fund. He was a prominent karting prodigy before McLaren signed him as a junior driver. He made his F1 debut with McLaren in 2019. His personality — gaming streams on Twitch with hundreds of thousands of viewers, candid social media presence and self-deprecating humour — made him the sport's most digitally engaged driver and drew new audiences to Formula 1. He scored his first F1 race victory at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix — ending a career-long wait that had seen him score multiple fastest laps and podiums without the win. He secured several victories in 2024 as McLaren developed a championship-contending car. He challenged Max Verstappen for the 2024 Drivers' Championship, finishing second. He is one of the youngest multi-race winners in F1 history and the most commercially valuable British driver since Lewis Hamilton's early career.
