Karen Khachanov was born on 21 May 1996 in Moscow, Russia. He turned professional in 2013 and rose to prominence with a powerful serve and relentless baseline game. He broke through by winning the 2018 Paris Masters, his first and only Masters title, defeating Djokovic in the final. Khachanov has reached multiple Grand Slam quarter-finals and the 2021 Olympic final (silver medal) and the 2022 US Open semi-finals.
