Powerful and versatile Knicks power forward whose 2020-21 season earned him Most Improved Player and All-Star recognition.
Julius Randle was born in Dallas, Texas on 29 November 1994. A powerful, physical power forward with an expansive offensive game, Randle has been one of the New York Knicks' most important players of the modern era. He was selected seventh overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2014, but after breaking his leg on his NBA debut he took several years to establish himself. He flourished at New Orleans Pelicans before joining the Knicks in 2019. His 2020-21 season was transformative: he averaged 24.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 6 assists, won Most Improved Player, made the All-Star game and was named All-NBA First Team, becoming the face of a Knicks resurgence. He has since been traded and shown his offensive talent for multiple organisations. His physicality, post game, mid-range shooting and handle make him a rare offensive weapon at his size.
