Two-time rebounding champion and the NBA's most prolific rebounder of the 2010s.
Andre Drummond was born in Mount Vernon, New York in 1993. Detroit Pistons selected him ninth overall in the 2012 NBA Draft. His career has produced 14.0 points and 13.8 rebounds per game — the highest career rebounding average in the NBA since Dennis Rodman. He won the rebounding title twice (2014, 2018) and was selected to two All-Star games. He averaged over 15 rebounds per game in multiple seasons — a figure that no player achieved consistently across the preceding two decades. His combination of size, length and relentless effort on the glass made him the most dominant rebounder in the game during his Pistons years. His free throw shooting — below 40% in some seasons — became one of the NBA's most discussed individual weaknesses and prompted teams to foul him deliberately in late-game situations. He averaged 16.0 rebounds per game in 2017-18 — the highest single-season rebounding average since the early 1990s. His Detroit career established him as the franchise's best rebounder since Bob Lanier.
