Julián Álvarez was born in Calchín, Argentina on 31 January 2000. He rose through River Plate's academy and was one of South America's most exciting talents. He joined Manchester City in 2022 for £14 million and quickly proved himself, scoring 36 goals in 103 appearances. He won two Premier League titles, the Champions League in 2023 and the FA Cup. He was a key player in Argentina's 2022 World Cup triumph, scoring four goals. He moved to Atlético Madrid in 2024 for a reported £82 million. He has earned over 30 caps for Argentina.
