Jim Parker was the first pure offensive lineman inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, spending his career with the Baltimore Colts protecting quarterback Johnny Unitas. He won eight consecutive Pro Bowl selections — four as a tackle and four as a guard — demonstrating his versatility. Parker's assignment to protect Unitas allowed Baltimore's offence to flourish, and he is credited with transforming the role of the offensive lineman.
