Boston's second star — 2024 NBA champion and Finals MVP who developed into an elite two-way player.
Jaylen Brown was born in Marietta, Georgia in 1996. Boston Celtics selected him third overall in the 2016 NBA Draft after one season at the University of California, Berkeley. His career has produced 19.7 points per game and three All-Star appearances. He won the NBA championship with Boston in 2024 and was named the Finals MVP — becoming the first player in NBA history to win Finals MVP with the team that drafted them in the top-three while spending his entire career there. He averaged 21.0 points in the 2024 Finals against Dallas. He was named All-NBA Second Team. He was a free agency prize — signing a five-year, $304 million supermax extension with the Celtics in 2023, the largest contract in NBA history at the time. His combination of athleticism, improving shooting and defensive ability on an elite team makes him one of the best two-way players in the league. Off the court he is known for his political engagement and social justice advocacy, founding the 7uice clothing brand and speaking publicly about systemic inequality.
