Poland's leading tennis player and a big-serving, big-forehand force who won the Miami Masters.
Hubert Hurkacz was born on 11 February 1997 in Wrocław, Poland. He turned professional in 2016 and broke through on the big stage by winning the 2021 Miami Open Masters — becoming the first Pole to win an ATP Masters 1000. That same year he reached the Wimbledon semi-finals, defeating Roger Federer 6-0 in the third set in what proved to be Federer's last-ever Wimbledon set. Hurkacz has a booming serve, one of the best on tour, and a heavy forehand. He reached a career-high ranking of No. 7 and has firmly established Poland as a tennis nation to watch.
