Six champion jockey titles — the most naturally talented British jockey of his era, and the most controversial.
Kieren Fallon was born in Crusheen, County Clare, Ireland in 1965. He won six British champion jockey titles — the most of any jockey in the 1990s-2000s era. He won the Epsom Derby three times. He was the subject of multiple controversies including a race-fixing trial (acquitted), a French racing ban and personal issues. His riding ability — particularly his tactical judgement — was universally considered exceptional when he was fit and focused. He received a six-month ban from racing in 2007. Despite the controversies his talent was considered the finest of his generation.
