Book — one of the NBA's elite scorers and Phoenix's franchise cornerstone, an Olympic gold medallist.
Devin Armani Booker was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1996, the son of former NBA player Melvin Booker. Phoenix Suns selected him 13th overall in the 2015 NBA Draft at 18 years old. He scored 70 points against the Boston Celtics in March 2017 — aged 20 — the youngest player in NBA history to score 70 in a single game. He has been selected to four All-Star games. He led the Phoenix Suns to the NBA Finals in 2021 alongside Chris Paul, losing in six games to the Milwaukee Bucks. He won Olympic gold with the USA at Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024. His scoring — built on footwork, shot creation off the dribble and a reliable pull-up jumper — averages 22.9 points per game across his career. He is one of the few players in NBA history to reach 70 points in a game and has been Phoenix's franchise player through multiple coaching and roster changes. His ability to get to his spots on the floor in the half-court and score efficiently in the fourth quarter has established him as one of the NBA's premier clutch performers.
