Elite defensive wing and key member of Atlanta Hawks' young core whose athleticism and improving scoring make him a versatile two-way asset.
De'Andre Hunter was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 2 December 1997. A long, athletic and defensively gifted wing, Hunter was selected fourth overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2019 NBA Draft. He has established himself as one of the league's better defensive wings, with the length, athleticism and footwork to guard multiple positions. His offensive game has developed steadily, with improving three-point shooting and scoring creation. His time in Atlanta has been disrupted by injuries, including knee surgery that kept him out for extended periods, but when healthy he has shown himself to be a genuine two-way contributor.
