The fastest player in the NBA — Sacramento's franchise cornerstone and one of the league's elite lead guards.
De'Aaron Fox was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1997. Sacramento Kings selected him fifth overall in the 2017 NBA Draft after one season at the University of Kentucky. His career has produced 20.8 points and 6.5 assists per game and two All-Star appearances. He was the centrepiece of the Sacramento Kings' long-awaited return to the playoffs in 2023 — his first postseason appearance since 2006, ending the longest active playoff drought in the NBA. He has been identified as one of the fastest players in the league, with his first step to the rim virtually unmatched by point guards. He won Olympic gold with the USA at Paris 2024. His ability to attack the rim at full pace, finish in traffic and create for teammates makes him one of the most dynamic lead guards in the game. He averaged 30.3 points per game in March 2023 — the highest single-month average in Kings franchise history. His partnership with Domantas Sabonis transformed Sacramento from a lottery team into a genuine playoff contender.
