Courtney Walsh was one of the most prolific fast bowlers in cricket history, becoming the first bowler to take 500 Test wickets when he achieved the milestone in 2000. A tall Jamaican with an upright action and tremendous stamina, Walsh formed a devastating partnership with Curtly Ambrose. Despite playing for a declining West Indian side in his later years, his commitment and wicket-taking ability never diminished.
