Fearless and dynamic scoring guard whose pace, athleticism and competitive edge have made him one of the NBA's most exciting young players.
Collin Sexton was born in Tifton, Georgia on 11 January 1999. A compact, energetic and relentlessly competitive guard, Sexton was selected eighth overall in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers and quickly established himself as a dynamic scorer and attacking point guard. His first-step quickness, ability to finish through contact and pull-up shooting made him one of the more exciting young guards in the league. Injury disrupted the peak years of his Cleveland career, and he was later traded to Utah Jazz where he continued his development as a scoring guard alongside Lauri Markkanen. His engine and competitive intensity — he was nicknamed 'Young Bull' at Alabama for his aggressive style — remain his defining characteristics.
