Electric Dallas Wings guard known for her jaw-dropping scoring explosions, clutch shooting and game-winning heroics at Notre Dame and in the WNBA.
Arike Ogunbowale was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 19 November 1996. One of the most fearless and clutch scorers in women's basketball history, Ogunbowale became a national sensation at Notre Dame when she hit back-to-back game-winning buzzer beaters to win the 2018 national championship — defeating UConn in the semi-final and Mississippi State in the final. She carried that clutch gene into the WNBA, where the Dallas Wings selected her fifth overall in 2019. She has been one of the league's top scorers ever since, winning the WNBA scoring title in 2020 and 2021. Her combination of confidence, shot-creation and willingness to take the biggest shots makes her one of the WNBA's most compelling players.
