Technically gifted Algerian winger who made his name in the Premier League and Spanish football while representing the Desert Foxes with distinction.
Sofiane Feghouli was born in Levallois-Perret, France on 26 December 1989 to Algerian parents. A quick, skillful left-footed winger with excellent dribbling and an eye for goal, Feghouli emerged at Grenoble and then Valencia, where he became a key player for several seasons in La Liga. He joined Galatasaray in Turkey in 2015, winning two league titles. West Ham signed him in 2017 but his time in East London was difficult, with a controversial red card in his debut. Further moves took him to Galatasaray again, Istanbul Basaksehir and Al Qadsiah. For Algeria he has earned over 60 caps and was part of the squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 — Algeria's second continental title. His skill and pace made him a consistent performer across multiple leagues.
AFCON 2019
He was part of the Algeria squad that won the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, ending a 29-year wait for the title since their 1990 triumph.
