Explosive German winger who overcame a difficult spell at Arsenal to become one of Bayern Munich's most dangerous attackers.
Serge David Gnabry was born in Stuttgart, Germany on 14 July 1995. He joined Arsenal's academy at 16 but struggled for opportunities. A failed loan at West Brom saw Tony Pulis declare he wasn't good enough, before spells at Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim. He joined Bayern Munich in 2018 and proved his doubters spectacularly wrong, scoring four goals against Tottenham in a single Champions League match. He won multiple Bundesliga titles, the Champions League in 2020 and the Club World Cup. He has earned over 40 caps for Germany.
Champions League 2020
Tony Pulis famously said he wasn't good enough for West Brom — he then went on to score four goals against Tottenham in one Champions League match for Bayern Munich.
