The Titan — Germany's greatest goalkeeper and the only keeper to win the Golden Ball at a World Cup.

Oliver Rolf Kahn was born in Karlsruhe, Germany in 1969. He is the only goalkeeper in history to win the Golden Ball at a World Cup — awarded at the 2002 World Cup, despite Germany losing the final to Brazil. He played for Karlsruhe and then Bayern Munich, winning eight Bundesliga titles and the Champions League in 2001 in a penalty shootout that he saved his way through after also conceding a penalty. His aggressive style — punching rather than catching, commanding his area with extraordinary presence — made him technically unique among goalkeepers of his era. He became CEO of Bayern Munich in 2021 before leaving in 2023.
