Six majors and the finest major championship record by a European golfer in history.
Nicholas Alexander Faldo was born in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire in 1957. He won six major championships — the most by a European golfer. He completely rebuilt his swing with coach David Leadbetter in 1985 — a process that took two years and made him technically the most precise European golfer ever. His 1996 Masters — coming from 6 down in the final round to win — is the most celebrated final-round comeback in Masters history. He was the European Ryder Cup's most decorated player. He became a television commentator and was at times controversial for his critiques of players' swings.
