Tiny — the only player to lead the NBA in scoring and assists in the same season.
Nathaniel Archibald was born in the South Bronx, New York in 1948. He won the scoring and assists titles simultaneously in 1972-73 — the only player in NBA history to achieve this. He stands 6ft 1in — small for an NBA star — and was nicknamed Tiny as a result. He won the NBA championship with Boston in 1981. He missed the entire 1977-78 season with a torn Achilles tendon. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1991. He has been active in community development work in the South Bronx after retirement.
