Captain Cool — ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup and World Test Championship as captain, the most successful captain in Indian cricket history.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni was born in Ranchi, Jharkhand in 1981. He worked as a ticket collector for Indian Railways before making his international cricket debut in 2004. He was the first captain to win all three major ICC trophies — the T20 World Cup (2007), ODI World Cup (2011) and Champions Trophy (2013). His six off the final ball of the 2011 World Cup Final — winning the trophy for India at home — is the most celebrated single shot in Indian cricket history. His wicketkeeping — particularly his lightning stumpings — and his unflappable captaincy style earned him the nickname Captain Cool. He is the most successful IPL captain, winning five titles with Chennai Super Kings.
