The fastest wide receiver to 100 catches in NFL history — whose footwork, hands and route-running make him the most complete receiver of his generation.
Justin Jefferson was born in Saint Rose, Louisiana in 1999. He played college football at LSU where he was part of the 2019 national championship team. The Minnesota Vikings selected him 22nd overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. He broke Randy Moss's 27-year-old Vikings franchise receiving record in 2021 — his second season. He set the NFL record for most receiving yards in a player's first two seasons. In 2022 he won the NFL Offensive Player of the Year with 128 receptions for 1,809 yards — the second-most receiving yards in a single season in NFL history. He broke the NFL record for most receiving yards in any player's first four seasons, surpassing Jerry Rice's record. His route-running — described by defensive backs as the most difficult to coverage in the modern NFL — combined with exceptional hands and the ability to win contested catches make him the consensus finest wide receiver currently playing. His Griddy touchdown celebration dance became one of the NFL's most recognisable post-score moments. He signed a four-year, $140 million extension with the Vikings in 2024.
