Jordan Taylor Clarkson was born in Tampa, Florida in 1992 of Filipino and American heritage. Los Angeles Lakers selected him 46th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft from the University of Missouri. His career has produced 14.6 points per game and one All-Star appearance. He won the Sixth Man of the Year award in 2021 after averaging 18.4 points off the bench for the Utah Jazz — one of the finest bench scoring seasons in recent NBA history. He has developed into one of the most reliable and explosive reserves in the league, capable of scoring quickly in short bursts off the bench. He represents the Philippines internationally and is considered a national hero in the country — he has played for the Philippine national team and his games are followed by tens of millions of Filipino fans.
