India's tall fast bowler who was a key part of India's bowling attack for a decade and a half.
Ishant Sharma was born on 2 September 1988 in Delhi, India. He made his Test debut in 2007 at just 18 and famously troubled Ricky Ponting with sustained short-pitched bowling in his first Test series. Standing 6'4", his height gives him natural bounce and he has been India's most capped fast bowler in Tests. He took 311 Test wickets in 105 Tests at 35.73 and was a key part of India's Test squad for 15 years. He played his last Tests in 2021. He also played 80+ ODIs for India and was a dependable member of the pace attack.
