Beefy — Headingley 1981 and the greatest all-rounder England has produced.

Ian Terence Botham was born in Heswall, Cheshire in 1955. He is England's greatest all-rounder. His 1981 Ashes series — known as Botham's Ashes — produced the most celebrated individual series in English cricket history: his 149 not out at Headingley after England had followed on, his remarkable bowling figures at Edgbaston and his century at Old Trafford. He was the first player to score 3,000 Test runs and take 300 Test wickets. He walked from John O'Groats to Land's End in 1985 raising money for Leukaemia research. He received a knighthood in 2007. He was involved in the Somerset decision to release Viv Richards and Joel Garner in 1986 — one of cricket's most controversial individual administrative decisions.
