China's diving queen — the most decorated Olympic diver and springboard specialist.
Guo Linlin was born in Jilin, China in 1986. She won four Olympic gold medals in springboard diving — becoming the first diver in history to win consecutive Olympic titles in both the 3m individual and synchronised springboard events. She won at Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008. She is considered the finest springboard diver in Olympic history. China's diving programme's dominance — Guo was its most decorated individual — represents one of the most sustained national sporting monopolies in Olympic history.
