Big Dog — 1994 Naismith Award winner and Purdue's greatest player.
Glen Robinson was born in Gary, Indiana in 1973. He attended Purdue University and won the Naismith Award as the national player of the year in 1994 — his sophomore year before declaring for the draft. He averaged 24.1 points and 8.5 rebounds per game across two seasons. His 1993-94 season produced 30.3 points per game — the highest average in the Big Ten that season. He led Purdue to the Elite Eight in 1994, where he averaged 32.0 points across four tournament games. Milwaukee Bucks selected him first overall in the 1994 NBA Draft, making him the top pick based on two college seasons. His nickname Big Dog — earned at Purdue for his physical dominance in the paint and ability to score from anywhere — followed him to the professional level. His NBA career produced 20,936 points and an NBA championship with the San Antonio Spurs in 2005. His Purdue career — two years of elite scoring and the 1994 Naismith Award — established him as one of the most productive two-year college careers in Big Ten history.
