The Real Deal — four-time heavyweight champion and the man who bit off part of his ear.
Evander Holyfield was born in Atmore, Alabama in 1962. He won the Olympic bronze medal at Los Angeles 1984 — controversially, as he was disqualified for a late punch despite appearing to be winning. He won the heavyweight championship four times — a record for the division — defeating Riddick Bowe twice and Mike Tyson twice. His first Tyson fight in November 1996 was the biggest boxing upset since 1990 — he knocked Tyson down and stopped him in the 11th round. In the rematch Tyson bit a chunk out of Holyfield's right ear in round three, causing the fight to be stopped. He continued boxing until 2011 aged 48.
