The most physically dominant lock in world rugby — two World Cup winner.
Eben Etzebeth was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1991. He is the most physically imposing lock in world rugby — 6ft 8in, 18.5 stone, with exceptional mobility and explosive power. He has won 130 Springbok caps — the most of any current Springbok player. He won two Rugby World Cups. He was investigated (and cleared) in 2019 following an alleged assault incident in Langebaan. His combination of lineout ability, carrying power and defensive ferocity in the tackle make him the most complete lock in world rugby alongside France's Paul Willemse.
