Dwight Eversley Yorke was born in Canaan, Tobago on 3 November 1971. Spotted by Graham Taylor on a tour of the Caribbean, he joined Aston Villa in 1989 and became a fan favourite, scoring 73 goals in 231 Premier League appearances. In 1998 he joined Manchester United for £12.6 million and immediately struck up a devastating partnership with Andy Cole.
