Citation was the first horse to earn one million dollars in prize money and the 1948 Triple Crown winner, a dominant bay who won 32 of his 45 starts. Trained by Jimmy Jones for Calumet Farm, his combination of exceptional speed and stamina produced one of the most dominant racing careers in American history. He was named Horse of the Year in both 1948 and 1951.
