77 Test tries — the joint world record holder for Test tries by a back.
Bryan Gary Habana was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1983. He scored 67 Test tries for South Africa — the world record for a South African. He shared the overall world record with Jonah Lomu at 15 World Cup tries. He won the Rugby World Cup in 2007 and was named World Player of the Year. His pace — electronically measured at 10.2 seconds over 100 metres — combined with clinical finishing made him the finest wing of his era. He raced against a cheetah in a promotional event — the cheetah won. He later played in Europe for Toulon and Verona.
