Duke's two-time national champion — holds the all-time NCAA assists record.

Bobby Hurley was born in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1971, the son of Bob Hurley Sr. who is one of the most celebrated high school coaches in the country. He attended Duke University under coach Mike Krzyzewski and won consecutive national championships in 1991 and 1992. He was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player in 1992. He accumulated 1,076 career assists — the all-time NCAA record. He was a consensus All-American. His combination of court vision, competitive fire and ability to manage the tempo of games made him the model point guard for Krzyzewski's system. Sacramento Kings selected him seventh overall in the 1993 NBA Draft. His professional career was dramatically altered when he was involved in a severe car accident shortly after the draft that nearly killed him — he required months of rehabilitation before he could play again. He eventually played seven NBA seasons. His Duke career — two championships, one MOP award and the all-time assists record — is one of the most decorated in Blue Devils history.
