The most naturally gifted athlete in American sport — the only professional All-Star in football and baseball.
Vincent Edward Jackson was born in Bessemer, Alabama in 1962. The Heisman Trophy winner, he was selected first overall by Tampa Bay in 1986 but chose to play baseball with Kansas City instead. The Raiders later selected him in a later round. He played both sports simultaneously — becoming an MLB All-Star and NFL Pro Bowler. A hip injury in January 1991 ended his athletic careers. His Nike Bo Knows campaign is the most famous athlete marketing concept of the 1990s.
