Belinda Bencic was born on 10 March 1997 in Wollerau, Switzerland. The daughter of Slovak tennis parents, she was coached by Melanie Molitor — Martina Hingis's mother — as a teenager. She turned professional in 2012 and became a teenage prodigy, winning multiple titles in her teens. Her greatest moment came at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where she won gold in singles and silver in doubles. She has reached multiple WTA Finals and broken into the top 5. Bencic is known for her fighting spirit and exceptional court intelligence. She had a baby in 2024 and resumed her career.
