Bud — the pound-for-pound number one who unified the welterweight division as the first southpaw champion.
Terence Crawford was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1987. He grew up in difficult circumstances in North Omaha. He became the first southpaw to be a unified welterweight champion in the division's history. He unified the WBO welterweight title with victories over Jeff Horn and Jose Benavidez Jr before stopping Errol Spence Jr — himself the IBF/WBC unified champion — in the ninth round in 2023 to become undisputed welterweight champion. He has been pound-for-pound number one on multiple major rankings. His ability to fight effectively from both orthodox and southpaw stances in the same fight — switching to exploit weaknesses — is unique among elite fighters.
