Morgan Rielly

Morgan Rielly is a Canadian defenceman who has spent his entire career with the Toronto Maple Leafs, becoming the franchise's all-time leading scorer among defencemen.

Morgan Frederick Rielly was born on 9 March 1994 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and the Toronto Maple Leafs selected him fifth overall in the 2012 NHL Draft, developing into one of the franchise's most important modern-era defencemen over the following decade. Rielly became an alternate captain for the Maple Leafs, and set franchise records for a defenceman, establishing himself as one of the league's most reliable offensive blueliners across more than a decade with the team in Toronto. Rielly has represented Canada internationally throughout his career, and has continued to anchor Toronto's defence corps through a period of sustained playoff contention for the franchise across several consecutive seasons of competition.
