Stanley Cup champion captain at St. Louis — the cornerstone of the Blues' only championship.
Alex Pietrangelo was born in King City, Ontario in 1990. St. Louis Blues selected him fourth overall in the 2008 NHL Draft. His career has produced 152 goals and 582 assists for 734 career points. He was selected to five All-Star games. He was the captain of the St. Louis Blues when they won the Stanley Cup in 2019 — in one of the most remarkable comeback stories in NHL history, as the Blues had been last in the league in January 2019 before winning the championship in June. He signed a seven-year, $61.6 million contract with the Vegas Golden Knights in 2020. He is the most celebrated defensive player in Blues franchise history. His poise, two-way play and leadership were central to the Blues' 2019 championship and he embodied the resilience of a team that completed one of the most improbable championship runs in modern hockey.
