Kyle Larson

American NASCAR driver and dirt track racing champion, known for his versatility across multiple racing disciplines and 2021 NASCAR Cup Series title.

Kyle Miyata Larson was born on 31 July 1992 in Elk Grove, California, to a father of Swedish and German descent and a Japanese-American mother, and attended his first race with his parents just a week after his birth. Larson won the 2012 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East championship before earning Rookie of the Year honours in both the 2013 Nationwide Series and the 2014 Sprint Cup Series, developing into one of the most versatile and prolific dirt-track and stock car racers of his generation, winning the Chili Bowl Nationals and Knoxville Nationals multiple times each. Larson won his first NASCAR Cup Series championship in 2021, adding the Coca-Cola 600 and NASCAR All-Star Race the same season, and delivered further victories at the 2022 Daytona 500 pole, the 2023 Southern 500, and the 2024 Brickyard 400, before capturing a second Cup Series title in 2025. Larson was named one of NASCAR's 75 Greatest Drivers in 2023, and remains one of the most universally respected multi-discipline racers in American motorsport, equally at home on NASCAR ovals, dirt sprint cars, and endurance sports cars, having won the 2015 Rolex 24 at Daytona overall.
