Kyle Miyata Larson was born on 31 July 1992 in Elk Grove, California, to a father of Swedish and German descent and a Japanese-American mother, and attended his first race with his parents just a week after his birth. Larson won the 2012 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East championship before earning Rookie of the Year honours in both the 2013 Nationwide Series and the 2014 Sprint Cup Series, developing into one of the most versatile and prolific dirt-track and stock car racers of his generation, winning the Chili Bowl Nationals and Knoxville Nationals multiple times each.
