Hannah Green is an Australian professional golfer who won the 2019 Women's PGA Championship as her first LPGA Tour title, becoming the third Australian woman to win a major.
At Hazeltine in 2019, Hannah Green became only the third Australian woman to win a major championship, edging defending champion Sung Hyun Park by one shot at the Women's PGA Championship in just her first LPGA Tour start as a winner. She built a strong amateur record, including the Victorian Women's Amateur Championship, before turning professional in 2016 and winning three times in her rookie season on the Symetra Tour, earning her an LPGA Tour card. Green made a stunning breakthrough at the 2019 Women's PGA Championship at Hazeltine, winning her very first LPGA Tour start as a champion, edging defending champion Sung Hyun Park by one shot to become the third Australian woman, after Karrie Webb and Jan Stephenson, to win a major title. The victory earned her the Greg Norman Medal as Australia's top golfer of the year. Green went on to build a consistent LPGA Tour career, winning the Cambia Portland Classic later in 2019 and adding further titles at the HSBC Women's World Championship and the JM Eagle LA Championship, which she won in consecutive years in 2023 and 2024. She represented Australia at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, finishing fifth, and again at Paris 2024. Green won a second Greg Norman Medal in 2024 after a career-best season with three LPGA Tour titles, cementing her status as Australia's top-ranked golfer.
